The Milford Junior High School Kiwanis Builders Club has been busy spreading Halloween spirit in the Milford community. On October 12th over 30 junior high students attended a Builders Club meeting and decorated over 100 pumpkins. Every student at the meeting took one pumpkin home and delivered it to someone in their community. On October 18th the rest of the pumpkins were delivered to three retirement communities in Milford. Eight junior high students delivered the remaining pumpkins to SEM Terrace Retirement Homes, Pinebrook Retirement Living, and Arbors at Milford. The pumpkins brought many smiles to the residents of the retirement homes and the junior high volunteers felt great pride in giving back to their community. The Builders Club was first chartered at Milford Junior High School in July of 2010. The Builders Club has many more volunteer activities planned for the 2010-2011 school year. In fact, in October students are also participating in a river clean up project, as well as, a Treats for Troops food collection for our military.
